Kellie Renwick
MA, Registered Psychotherapist
Kellie supports individuals from all walks of life, often navigating adaptations to change or adversity where one might feel stuck or caught in the same cycles. After exhausting attempts at finding an answer or way out, clients may allow themselves to explore these dilemmas with a curious guiding presence.
By prioritizing a systemic and holistic therapeutic approach focused on cultural, socioeconomic, biological, and spiritual contributions to well-being.
Personal Note From Kellie
“Hello!
Maybe a part of you is drawn to that enthusiastic greeting or perhaps another part of you is reluctant to read on, holding onto some cautious optimism, maybe both— I welcome all of those parts.
Therapy can be a space where we have clear-cut goals or desired outcomes. It can also be a place to explore the unknown, the unprocessed, the places and parts of our inner world that can feel overwhelming or maybe unavailable. Sometimes, we are working at all levels— focusing on growth and progress that can be perceived from the outside, while feeling the deeper healing taking place within.
You don’t need to go to these places alone. My belief, and one that is shared by many before me, is that we are social beings whose survival depends on connection and belonging. With that, I invite you to allow your curious and courageous energy to decide the next step toward self-care.”
──── HOW KELLIE WORKS
Therapeutic Orientation
Kellie's therapeutic approach prioritizes a systemic and trauma-informed lens, focused on cultural, socioeconomic, biological, and spiritual contributions to wounds and healing. These systems are not just external, rather there is an internal system (parts) that hold some of the deepest wisdom and answers to what clients are asking.
Before becoming a psychotherapist, Kellie had an eclectic work life, working with a wide range of demographics including supporting individuals who have sustained concussions with rehabilitation activities, now helping them navigate the emotional and often existential struggles of living with a traumatic brain injury. She also works with specific populations including first responders, veterans, BIPOC and 2SLGBTQI+ communities, but continues to aspire to being a culturally competent therapist through ongoing education and an open-mind.
